Heterosexism and homophobia - Different in More Ways Than One: Providing Guidance for Teenagers on Their Way to Identity, Sexuality and Respect - "TRIANGLE"

Welcome to our website!

Here you will find the manual "Different in More Ways Than One: Providing Guidance for Teenagers on Their Way to Identity, Sexuality and Respect" which was made by a European project-team called "TRIANGLE" (Transfer of Information to Combat Discrimination Against Gays and Lesbians in Europe), consisting of representatives from five countries. The team set out to develop a manual for educators and counsellors on how to deal with lesbian, bisexual and gay issues in multicultural contexts.

Heterosexism and homophobia can be a real problem for young people, not only for those who experience lesbian, bisexual and gay feelings themselves, but for their heterosexual peers as well. In counselling and education, it is extremely important to provide a safe and supportive atmosphere in which young people can explore their emotions and make their own decisions on the way they choose to live.
