33. Pastoral ministry in a missionary key seeks to abandon the complacent attitude that says: “We have always done it this way”. I invite everyone to be bold and creative in this task of rethinking the goals, structures, style and methods of evangelization in their respective communities. A proposal of goals without an adequate communal search for the means of achieving them will inevitably prove illusory. I encourage everyone to apply the guidelines found in this document generously and courageously, without inhibitions or fear. The important thing is to not walk alone, but to rely on each other as brothers and sisters, and especially under the leadership of the bishops, in a wise and realistic pastoral discernment.
47. The Church is called to be the house of the Father, with doors always wide open. One concrete sign of such openness is that our church doors should always be open, so that if someone, moved by the Spirit, comes there looking for God, he or she will not find a closed door. There are other doors that should not be closed either. Everyone can share in some way in the life of the Church; everyone can be part of the community, nor should the doors of the sacraments be closed for simply any reason. This is especially true of the sacrament which is itself “the door”: baptism. The Eucharist, although it is the fullness of sacramental life, is not a prize for the perfect but a powerful medicine and nourishment for the weak.[51] These convictions have pastoral consequences that we are called to consider with prudence and boldness. Frequently, we act as arbiters of grace rather than its facilitators. But the Church is not a tollhouse; it is the house of the Father, where there is a place for everyone, with all their problems.
205. I ask God to give us more politicians capable of sincere and effective dialogue aimed at healing the deepest roots – and not simply the appearances – of the evils in our world! Politics, though often denigrated, remains a lofty vocation and one of the highest forms of charity, inasmuch as it seeks the common good.[174] We need to be convinced that charity “is the principle not only of micro-relationships (with friends, with family members or within small groups) but also of macro-relationships (social, economic and political ones)”.[175] I beg the Lord to grant us more politicians who are genuinely disturbed by the state of society, the people, the lives of the poor! It is vital that government leaders and financial leaders take heed and broaden their horizons, working to ensure that all citizens have dignified work, education and healthcare...

US Catholic bishops OPPOSE - US Senators - INCLUDING - LGBT PEOPLE in Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) - 11/4/13
Three prominent Catholic prelates—Bishop Stephen Blaire of Stockton, CA, Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco, and Archbishop William Lori of Baltimore—have made it known that they plan to “work with leaders and all people of good will to end all forms of unjust discrimination, including against those who experience same sex attraction.” This they said in a letter mailed to US senators.
What’s that now? Are US bishops taking Pope Francis’s message of focusing on poverty rather than homosexuality to heart? Are Catholic bishops going on-the-record in support of the marginalized and oppressed? Is this a sign of a new era in US Catholicism, the one heralded by lefty Catholics who have expressed unabashed hope in the new pope?
...Catholic bishops apparently feel that discriminating against LGBT people in the workplace is not only just, but in fact, not being able to do so threatens their religious liberty. So the USCCB is appealing to lawmakers to vote against the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA)...

My name is Fr. Marty Kurylowicz, a Roman Catholic priest from the Diocese of Grand Rapids Michigan ordained June 16, 1979.
In March 1997, after attending a National Symposium of the New Ways Ministry that was held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I learned that children as young as 4 and 5 years of age know that they are different. This feeling "different" is only identified in their adult years as being gay. However, the harmful influence of antigay social and religious norms -- in particular, for Catholics, the Vatican’s unsubstantiated antigay teachings -- are severe and last throughout a child’s lifetime. The harmful effects are not isolated only to these children who grow up to be gay, but also affect their families, siblings, friends and anyone whom they might consider special in their lives. They are a prescribed societal sentence of implicit isolation, which place at risk of suicide so many innocent adolescents and young adults. They stifle an enormous amount of human potential in the world that otherwise could be put to use for finding cures for diseases, offering better ways of maintaining peace among people and improving the quality of life for everyone in the world.
At the same time, an insider to the Vatican
warned me that I could really get hurt severely by people in the Vatican. And even though this person was dead serious, I passed this warning off as being someone’s overactive imagination that was a bit bizarre. I thought, "After all, this is the USA, what do I have to fear?" However, this covert retaliation has been substantial. When the Rev. Martin Kurylowicz came out to his Sparta parish eight years ago, he said he had struggled for years with his homosexuality.
The Catholic priest says the struggle would be made harder for many others if the Vatican issues new rules that reportedly would ban gays from becoming priests…
…"I sizzled when I read it," said Kurylowicz, 55. "It's very hurtful, is what it is. In this day and age, there's no reason for it. It sends a message that there's something wrong with gays."
Kurylowicz said he spoke out then to raise awareness of violence against gays and teach others homosexuality is not a choice but an inborn trait. Church leaders still don't understand that and contribute to gays' poor self-esteem, he said…
…"Kids as young as 4 or 5 know they're different," said Kurylowicz, a psychotherapist… "They grow up with this pervasive guilt, which sabotages their growth and motivation." It is an interesting fact that Ratzinger/Benedict XVI’s obsessive unsubstantiated antigay crusade for the past 32 years (1981-2013) dehumanizing gay (LGBT) human beings promoted endlessly was paralleled by the gradual decline of the dignity of human beings not only in the USA, but also globally, as the value and importance of making a profit increased.
Epicenter
In the USA, Ratzinger began in 1981, his obsessive antigay crusade despite the authoritative emerging science on homosexuality of the previous 2 decades that led the American Psychiatric Association, APA removing homosexuality as a mental disorder, it also rendered his antigay teachings as unsubstantiated. Cardinal Ratzinger’s unilateral decision to disregard this vital, life-and-death, authoritative data on homosexuality, was a public act, the epicenter of global criminal dehumanization of innocent human beings, including children. He obsessively repeated his unsubstantiated antigay statements publicly for the next 32 years, without hindrance. No one stopped him. Those who attempted to stop him or challenged him, we learn were abruptly silenced or removed that was heavily publicized throughout the 1980s.
Political Wedge
It is from here, 1981 that all the corruption of the Vatican originated and or was enhanced to the extreme, until it started to implode in on itself. It is also from here that the world dehumanization, devaluing human beings began to flourish, because Cardinal Ratzinger’s unsubstantiated antigay crusade was politicized. For the entire length of Ratzinger/Benedict XVI’s career in the Vatican, 32 years, USA Republican politicians have been in public unison with his unsubstantiated antigay teachings condemning gay (LGBT) people. They consistently used these unsubstantiated antigay teachings, as a political wedge, dehumanizing the same group of innocent people, including children for the past 32 years - to help usher certain people into political offices.
Anyone, in the USA running for political office has the resources to be ethically responsible in researching the authoritative facts on homosexuality from science and the bible, before speaking publicly on homosexuality. The fact that the majority of Republicans spoke out condemning homosexuality, does not speak well of the level of the moral integrity that exists among the members of Republican Party who are in office.
Though in the recent past, 2010 - 2011, there have been a few courageous Republican politicians who put their jobs and lives on the line - standing up for gay people, voting for gay marriage. They did so (1) publicly and (2) going against the antigay stance of the Republican Party, for the sake of the lives of children. Once, the authoritative facts are thoroughly research on sexual orientation, homosexuality, especially the harm caused to very young children by the unsubstantiated antigay social and religious norms, it is hard turn one’s back on this truth. They heroically demonstrated the dignity and integrity that once existed in the majority of the members of the Republican Party.
Senator Bob Dole made the statement that in the 1950s and 1960s, both political parties had their definite differences, but they could come together and workout their differences, resolve issues and move forward for the sake of the country. It was a different time, a more humane time in the USA history. Though it seems that there is a recent return to these times.

With seven Republican senators and all 55 Democratic senators publicly on board, it now seems likely that the Senate will debate and vote this week on the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), which would ban employment discrimination on the basis of gender identity or sexual orientation. If the bill moves forward, it would represent the newest effort since the 1970s to address the issue and the first time since 1996 that the Senate has given the legislation an up-or-down vote...

Anyone, Republican or Democrat, condemning a group of innocent people, including children to get into elected office clearly speaks of a person who is not about integrity, but about extortion and avarice. This the same DNA that is found in the corruption of the Vatican’s curia and bank. Other people have used Ratzinger’s unsubstantiated antigay crusade as a moral sanctioning for further dehumanization tactics for selfish profit i.e. child labor, slave labor, human trafficking, etc.
Sway - USA Catholics - Antigay
At the start, 1981, Ratzinger/Benedict XVI’s obsessive antigay crusade exploded in the news media. It has been reported that he did this to establish his position and authority, beginning with his long drawn out (over a decade) investigation of Archbishop Hunthausen of Seattle.
Though, it is denied and no mention is made of it in the investigation, there is strong indication that the reason for the investigation of Hunthausen was related to Reagan’s buildup of nuclear weapons and Hunthausen public stance against it.
The focus of the investigation was on doctrinal issues and disapproved of Hunthausen supporting and allowing gay (LGBT) people to have mass in the Cathedral i.e. Dignity, gay Catholic group. Whether or not Hunthausen has being investigated because of his antinuclear public stance, at the request of Reagan's administration, Ratzinger’s antigay crusade remained intact and consistent. Throughout the 1980s, there was a string public silencing and removing notable theologians who were openly discussing the emerging science on homosexuality. Then in 1986, Ratzinger’s releases his letter titled ”PASTORAL CARE OF HOMOSEXUAL PERSONS.” This title is not indicative of the contents of his letter. It would have been more accurately titled the “dehumanization,” and “abandonment” of and disciplining those who in the Church were caring for homosexuals, particularly during the height of the AIDS crisis in the USA. From then on right up to 2013, he continued his constant global dehumanization tactics by publicly promoting the discrimination against gay people, though always cloaked in the same deceptive terminology, as above, but in reality theses tactics were a complete dissociation from the reality of God’s love. The intensity of Ratzinger/Benedict XVI’s unsubstantiated antigay crusade notably increased around the USA Election campaigns, specifically designed to sway the Catholic population in the USA to vote for the candidates who were antigay. Here it is blatantly obvious that (1) Cardinal Ratzinger and as Benedict XVI was teaching people that it is permissible to dehumanize their fellow human beings, (2) by voting for politicians, who also are dehumanizing their fellow human beings, into office and (3) when they are in office these same politicians can continue dehumanizing even greater numbers of human beings, including those who voted them into office. What is so frightening in these 3 situations listed above are the complete absence of human empathy and contagion effect to willingly dehumanize millions of human beings and worst they call it God’s will.
Paralleling
Downsizing, Outsourcing, Exploiting
Paralleling, Ratzinger/Benedict XVI’s dehumanizing obsessive antigay crusade, in the USA began at the same time 1981 with the building up of nuclear weapons, the disassembling of work unions i.e. air traffic controllers’s union and the beginning of endless financial deregulations of laws protecting free market trade. In the 1990s, the USA initiated the Gulf War and the downsizing of corporations and companies that began the gradual process over time of eliminating millions of USA jobs and outsourcing these jobs to third world countries for a mere fraction of the wages and benefits, if any. In less than a decade, the endless financial deregulations allowed for the legal (1) downsizing of USA jobs leaving millions of human beings unemployed without health insurance, the outsourcing of USA jobs (2) exploited millions of human beings in the third world countries and the (3) people who still had jobs in the USA had their workloads increased due downsizing and had to accept decreases in their wages, benefits, including retirement pensions. Almost, as fast as, instant global communication, millions and millions of human beings around the world are simultaneously being dehumanized, instant global dehumanization. This global dehumanizing process continued on from the 1990s and throughout the 2000s, including leading the USA into a war under false pretenses that is still ongoing 2013. Photo

Condemning Gay People
During the past 32 years (1981-2013), while Ratzinger/Benedict XVI continued his obsessive unsubstantiated antigay crusade that paralleled with the gradual dehumanization tactics in the USA, there is evidence that he had relationship with the with the past 3 USA Republican Presidents, a total of 20 years. However, in those 20 years, his relationship would have been mainly with the Bush family, the father was vice president for 8 years with Reagan 1981-1989 and then as president the next four years and his son was president from 2000-2008.
Cardinal Ratzinger relationship (though denied) is related to the Vatican's connection with Reagan’s administration displeasure with Seattle’s Archbishop Hunthausen’s public stand against President Reagan’s buildup of nuclear weapons. There evidence that the FBI was monitoring Archbishop Hunthausen’s activities, because of “his public stand against nuclear weapons (http://igitur-archive.library.uu.nl/dissertations/2003-0206-111237/inhoud.htm)." Ratzinger did authorize an investigation of Hunthausen that began in 1983, however, there was no mention of his anti-nuclear weapons stance in any reports. But close advisers to Hunthausen insisted that the investigation was triggered by Reagan’s administration and the Vatican. Though it is denied that the US government granted the Vatican diplomatic status that includes diplomatic immunity, January 1984, for the Vatican's their cooperation with dealing with Hunthausen’s public antinuclear weapons stance through the efforts of Ratzinger. Ratzinger’s antigay crusade was able to camouflage any intent of the Reagan’s administration war efforts in wanting to silence Hunthausen from making public antinuclear weapons statements.
“War Profiteering” & Antigay Crusade
There is an overriding coincidence of the allegations of “war profiteering” made against all 3 men of the Bush Family: Prescott Bush, an international banker, US Senator, the father of President Bush Sr. and grandfather of President Bush Jr. Before and during WWII, Prescott Bush was an international banker and his perceived business association with the Nazi Germany were quite lucrative and considered to be the solo source of the Bush family fortune. Allegations of “war profiteering” were made against Prescott Bush (http://www.theguardian.com/world/2004/sep/25/usa.secondworldwar). The same allegations of “war profiteering” were made against President Bush Sr. for authorizing the ”Gulf War” 1991 and against President Bush Jr. for his authorization of the “War in Iraq,” which the USA entered under false pretenses. The “war profiteering” allegations made against the two Bush presidents were related to oil production and their financial interests in “Carlyle” - a company dealing with furnishing war supplies from equipment to personnel. This coincidence also extends to the close relationship the 2 Bush presidents had with Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, who was raised in Nazi Germany during World War II and a member of Hitler Youth.
