Merry Christmas
For ‘Christmas of the Pandemic,’ Pope gives Curia a lesson on left v. right
Dec 21, 2020
ROME – For what he defined as the “Christmas of the pandemic,” Pope Francis gave the Vatican power structure a unique present Monday: A meditation on the difference between “crisis,” which he said can be life-giving, and “conflict,” including ideological struggles of left v. right, which the pope said is destructive.
Without naming them, Francis also acknowledged the impact of church scandals over the past year, but insisted they’re not the whole story.
“Problems immediately end up in the newspapers,” the pontiff said, “while signs of hope only make the news much later, if at all.”
The core of his message was an invitation to see the difficulties facing both the broader society and the Church as a crisis, which can lead to renewal, rather than an occasion of conflict.
“When the Church is viewed in terms of conflict – right versus left, progressive versus traditionalist – she becomes fragmented and polarized, distorting and betraying her true nature,” the pope said during his annual speech to members of the Roman Curia.
The Church is “a body in continual crisis, precisely because she is alive,” he said, but stressed that it “must never become a body in conflict, with winners and losers, for in this way she would spread apprehension, become more rigid and less synodal, and impose a uniformity far removed from the richness and plurality that the Spirit has bestowed on his Church.”…

crisis
life-giving
The way that Pope Francis describes the church in crisis conveys a collective communal foundation (the common ground) that is securely built around a faithful, over time, lived experience of the fullness of Christ’s teachings that becomes a laser focus of collaborative effort working forward to resolve the crisis.
Get this!!! To profess that we are a ‘follower of Christ’ is a whole lot more than just professing the pop pious notion that ‘Jesus loves us all, yes I know.’ It is about spending a lifetime attempting to conform our personal lives to every word of Christ. For example: we are not only to forgive our enemies, i.e. people who have harmed us (including e.g. people who have not harmed us, but people who we just cannot stand, we hate to be around, etc…), but we are also to love them!!!
Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.
Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.
John 12:24-26
Trying to put these words of Christ 'to forgive and love our enemies' into practice - can feel like it will kill us, like we are dying, turning us ‘inside out’ or ‘upside down’, etc…
Silver and gold are purified by fire, but God purifies hearts.
Proverbs 17:3-5
However, through this slow painstaking - a type of metamorphosis process - we are being purified by God - making us whole, unifying, bringing clarity to us - out of our confusion ultimately revealing our true selves, exposing our true nature - as created out of God’s love.
Love for Enemies
“But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. Do to others as you would have them do to you.
“If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
Luke 6:27-36
It is an impossible job, however, with all the strength of our heart, soul, and mind, we never ever give up trying - we stay ever focused on conforming our personal lives to every word of Christ, no matter how many times may fall short or fail. This cannot be even attempted without prayer … tremendous, tremendous amounts of daily for DECADES of prayer. The need for this tremendous amounts of ongoing prayer - may be more truer for me than others. This is due to what has been though I am generally noted by people of having an overall congenial personality - I have a real deep, deep seated relentless tenacious attitude that is not easily triggered. It is immediately triggered into white hot anger that is productively expressed through professional protective action when children are being harmed, harmed for life. The degree of this my professional protective action of children has been publicly demonstrated by my “coming out” March 1997 and that has continued to be relentlessly ongoing right up to the present day. And I have suffered the same kind of severe hierarchical character assassination attacks that Mr. Cruz, the Chilean adult child abuse survivor (May 2018), experienced by the Chilean bishops’ public antigay demeaning statements made against Mr. Cruz.
‘God Made You This Way,’ Pope Is Said to Have Told Gay Man
May 21, 2018
As a faithful priest for 41 years and a psychologist, I found that in analogizing this process of prayer over time of continuously attempting to conform one’s self to every word of Christ, such as forgiving and loving our enemies, depending on the degree of our sincerity - a type of metamorphosis - a maturing spiritually and psychologically (an ongoing dialogue between science and religion to find truth and discover love) happens to us without us being aware that it it is happening. This is because I have found that somehow simultaneously on different levels over time: we become ever more deeply focused on Christ on what it means to love our enemies. It means that we are beginning to learn through prayer and ‘trial and error’ how to stop self-righteously without any self-knowledge of forcefully judging others (i.e. name calling, viciously demeaning and gossiping about others that in truth, in reality we know little to absolutely nothing about). We begin to learn the meaning of Christ’s words about ‘the plank & the speck (Matthew 7:3-5)’ that at times can be extremely painful, how to honestly identify and admit that the faults that we so easily, thoughtlessly and emphatically condemn others being guilty of having are, in fact, blatantly so deeply rooted in ourselves.
conflict
destructive
Pope Francis’s description of the church in conflict conveys the idea that there is no collective communal foundation (no common ground) that is securely built on the fullness of Christ’s teachings. Instead it exposes separately how fragmented and polarized, personally each individual involved in the conflict is distorting and betraying their respective true nature, lacking the evolving degree of humility and unifying clarity of peace of mind that unexpectedly comes from sincerely attempting to follow every word of Christ.
Because the individuals involved in the conflict, for whatever reason, do not have, the lived experience, over time, of the spiritual struggles, and agony through endless prayer of attempting with all the strength of heart, soul, and mind to conform one’s life to the fullness of Christ that is to be faithful to the one and only commandment that Jesus gave us:
A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
John 13:34-35
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Matthew 22:37-40

Because from early childhood years growing up - they never experienced parental empathy or acceptance in regards to their sexual orientation - their gay sexual orientation. Instead, they experienced continuously, as very young children at 4 and 5 years of age, the traumatic fear of parental rejection and abandonment for exhibiting outward signs of being gay - a concept that they at that age as children have yet to develop the mental capacity to have any understanding what “gay” means.
Therefore, they never experienced anyone showing them empathy - trying to understand who they are as an individual, instead they only experienced who their parents wanted them to be and out of childhood traumatic fear of parental abandonment they obeyed their parents without question. They never learned what empathy means, instead they learned how to be violent, how to inflict severe pain on others - with a lack of conscience. They are being raised in varying degrees to be sociopaths - to be as mean as you can be!!!

The Root Cause
The Vatican's Teaching on Homosexuality is UNSUBSTANTIATED (not based on the science on homosexuality), it is a “BREACH” (Caritas in veritate Pope Benedict XVI 2009) and its influence is life-threatening to children, GLOBALLY, in their early childhood psychological developmental years growing up gay causing lifelong harmful effects. It is a form of “structural violence” an unidentified form of child abuse. It NEEDS to be immediately
RENOUNCED by the Vatican because it is NOT based on TRUTH and without
truth there is no LOVE!!!

childhood--and distinguishing them from racial and ethnic minorities--gay people are often subjected to the antihomosexual attitudes of their own families and communities (Drescher et al., 2004). Antihomosexual attitudes include homophobia (Weinberg, 1972), heterosexism (Herek, 1984), moral condemnations of homosexuality (Drescher, 1998) and antigay violence (Herek and Berrill, 1992). Hiding activities learned in childhood often persist into young adulthood, middle age and even senescence, leading many gay people to conceal important aspects of themselves…
