"Suicide Prevention Among LGBT Youth" with Effie Malley interviewed by Dr. David Van Nuys on Shrink Rap Radio

My name is David Van Nuys, Ph.D. and I am professor emeritus at Sonoma State University. I was psychology department chair at SSU for seven years and continue to teach on a part-time basis. I am doing this podcast series as something of a public service. I believe that both psychology students and the public at large will benefit from listening to these interviews. Effie Malley is a senior prevention specialist at the national Suicide Prevention Resource Center (SPRC). She is one of the authors of SPRC’s Suicide Risk and Prevention for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Youth, and has given numerous trainings on the topic. She works with federal grantees, advising them on youth suicide prevention and early.
