My name is David Van Nuys, Ph.D. and I am professor emeritus at Sonoma State University. I was psychology department chair at SSU for seven years and continue to teach on a part-time basis. Effie Malley is a senior prevention specialist at the national Suicide Prevention Resource Center (SPRC). She is one of the authors of SPRC’s Suicide Risk and Prevention for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Youth, and has given numerous trainings on the topic. She works with federal grantees, advising them on youth suicide prevention and early.
